BIOGRAPHY
Marta Scavone is an emerging artist born in Turin in 1998.
Since childhood has always had a creative personality with a very marked sensitivity, and from the age
of 13 she undertakes courses of study and extra activities that allow her today to have access to a creative career.
She graduated from art school with a Fashion Design diploma in 2017 and later, following the footsteps of her grandfather photographer, she enrolled at the IED in Turin where she graduated with honors in 2020 in Visual Arts - Photography.

For many years she has been cultivating artistic interests and actively practicing activities such as dance and theater, which turn out to be very stimulating for her artworks, while for a year and a half she has also been working as a freelance photographer and art director.

STATEMENT
"I use the camera as a tool of creation and imagination.”
Since childhood, she has nurtured a deep passion for literature and art, which, combined with her studies in theater, fashion, and visual arts, influence her approach to photography pushing it beyond the boundaries of the traditional concept.
She rejects the pursuit of the "perfect moment" and eschews mere replication of the surrounding world to bring to life unique scenarios that cannot be seen elsewhere.
She creates images which cross several disciplines, photography, illustration, and painting, often infused with dreamlike atmospheres.

A significant portion of her work is produced in a photography studio, where the empty space represents to her what a blank canvas would be to a painter: infinite creative possibilities.
Multidisciplinarity is a keyword in her work, as she combines several means of artistic expression: photography, fashion, artistic installation, and theatrical performance. She blends different languages to explore contemporary themes in a conceptual, creative, and unique manner.
